The Forgotten Dog – Las Vegas

On February 1st we launched The Forgotten Dog Foundation Las Vegas that is run by two incredible women, Carol Andrade and Barbara Boyd, who have both been rescuing dogs in Las Vegas for many years.

With the enormous numbers of Chihuahuas dying in our shelters, and being much harder to place in California, we began transporting mostly Chihuahuas from our foundation, or those in need in California, to our team in Las Vegas. Carol and Barbara have a group of 25 dedicated and experienced fosters and volunteers. They hold adoptions almost every Saturday at Petco, 2340 Serene Avenue, Las Vegas, NV 89123 from 10 am – 1 pm. The Forgotten Dog LV follows the same strict guidelines as L.A. – collars and tags on at all times, home checks and trial periods. Dogs are transported from L.A., but also rescued locally.

To date they have adopted 68, (mostly Chihuahuas) dogs into wonderful forever homes.
