Sammy

Silky Terrier - Yorkshire Terrier - Young - Male
Adoptable Small Spayed/NeuteredUp-to-date with routine shots

Sammy is indeed a very lucky boy!

We rescued him from a high kill shelter who had him on their euthanasia list because they deemed him “rescue only” as he would not let anyone touch him. We looked into his very sad eyes and decided we needed to save him immediately!

We got him straight to our vets where we learned that Sammy had a very painful foxtail in his ear canal, which is why he would not let anyone at the shelter touch him. He was NEVER aggressive, just in pain!

Now, a month later, with grooming, neuter, nutritious food and friends to play with at his foster home, Sammy is a loving and happy boy.

He does get shy at adoption events, so will take a bit to feel comfortable in a new home, but he is SUPER sweet and loving. Someone was definitely not kind to him as raised voices and the sight of a broomstick at first until he realizes you are using it for cleaning, makes him nervous and scared.

Sammy needs a home 100 percent with another playful small dog. Please do not contact us if you do not have another small, playful dog as he will NOT do well alone.

He needs a calm, loving home that does not have a lot of loud voices and lots of comings and goings. We also need a home where someone is not gone 8 hours or more. This sweet and special boy is here for a reason. He deserves a wonderful home.

He came very close to not being given that chance!
