This is Annie! Isn’t she adorable? Annie came into our rescue when she was surrendered by her owner who could no longer care for her. This little girl is a 1 year old Chihuahua/Terrier mix about 6lbs. Annie has been diagnosed with Anterior Lens Luxation which is when the lens shifts out of position and moves either into the front of into the back of the eye. This can be caused by an inflammation with the eye or glaucoma. The eye that is more bigger and bulging seems to have little sight left and the other eye does have a chance of getting the same condition but with eye drops 2x a day it seems to be manageable. The vet says as long as someone is diligent about giving her the much needed eye drops twice a day, then she should have a good chance of keeping her sight for some time. The eye drops could run (depending on your vet) about $50 a month. Annie is one of the sweetest girls ever! She is quiet…never makes a peep. She loves other dogs and bounces around like a bunny. She is good with everyone she meets but because she needs extra care with her eyes, we will only place her in a home with children 12 years or older. Annie definitely needs a home with another dog to play with and be her best friend. We also would like her in a home where her owners are not gone long hours during the day or can take her with them. She has the best manners and is working on her potty training…she is a very quick learner! Annie needs a happy every after that is filled with a family and unconditional love! Could that be you?

Annie is spayed, microchipped, and current on her vaccines
